Course Description- Preparation for the LA City D1.1 Written Exam

Course Objective- By the end of the class session, the student will have the information needed to successfully pass the LA City D1.1, Structural Welding Written Exam.

Classroom Instruction-  Lecture, AWS D1.1 Codebook and handouts on AWS Codes, Standards, Fundamentals and Symbols needed to successfully pass the LA City D1.1 Code Book Written Exam. 

Lab/Shop- N/A for this class. 

PROCESSES- SMAW – Stick welding – used widely in the construction industry .It is the most commonly used welding process. The process is used for the fabrication of many items in several industries.

FCAW – used in the construction industry on both thin and thick steels because of it’s ease of usage and high productivity rate. It can be used in many other welding industries as well.

LA CITY WRITTEN TEST REGISTRATION- We will guide the applicant through the proper

channels for the registration of the D1.1 – Sheet Steel Test, upon the completion of class.

 D1.3, LA City Code Clinic, Structural Welding – Sheet Steel 

3 day course/6 Hours. – Classroom lecture and prep for LA City Written Test

Class Hours Available: Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM; Saturday: 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM
